Remodeling?

When we met, Tim was remodeling an older home - a former rental property - to live in. It showed years of neglect and needed much work. Tim needed someone who could provide affordable landscape ideas and designs to complement his house restoration. Someone who could help identify, shape and articulate a creative vision for his entire property - starting with the front yard.

After identifying Tim's wants, needs, and budget, I crafted a general plan and then a more detailed working design - to guide the landscape's renovation process. This helped Tim envision the finished product and have everything he needed to implement the plan - bringing the creative vision to life. Tim planned to do some of the installation himself, and hired a contractor to do the rest. He also hired me to oversee the contractor's work and make sure the job was finished according to plan.

We initially began with Tim's front landscape, but eventually applied the same artistry to his entire property. The result uncovered and revealed the previously hidden beauty and charm of Tim's home.

                              Or A Newly-Built Home?

Bob and Stacy moved into a newly-built home before the builder graded soil for drainage, laid sod, planted shrubs, or installed irrigation. Once completed, the yards looked better, but new problems arose. Water pooled in the lawn, downspouts deluged the house foundation. A few randomly- scattered shrubs and trees looked sparse and some plants began to die. Bob and Stacey learned that subcontractors sometimes cut corners, doing minimal planting and using cheap plants. They decided to take control and hire a professional - someone experienced in landscape design, installation, and horticulture. That's when we began working together.

Bob and Stacy wanted a simple, beautiful landscape with minimal care. Our first meeting identified their basic wants and needs, their budget and how we could both solve their water problem and incorporate elements of their existing property into the plan. I then created a design to meet their vision and their budget. Finally, written and drawn design information gave Bob and Stacy everything they needed to confidently select an installation firm. These tools not only gave Bob and Stacy clarity and understanding, but also provided everything their installer needed to faithfully execute the intended design.
